The Answer:
The women are sisters: Celia Ashkenazi-Glaizer (left) and Mary Ashkenazi-Lerner (right) Their husbands are Max Glaizer (left) and Harry Lerner (right).
Harry emigrated from Russia around 1900 and Mary about 1902 when she was only 15. We know they were married in 1908 when he was 23 and she was 21. They had four children: Israel in 1910, Sidney in 1915, Rozella in 1918 and Gertrude in 1923.
Celia is Mary's older sister and came to the states sometime after her younger sister arrived. Celia and Max had three children: a daughter named Tessie, who married in 1934, (there is a great group shot), and two sons named Max and Sidney.
